Maev Kerri Fitzpatrick, a surfer and now long-distance swimmer, is one woman who is taking action to prevent big oil entering the Great Australian Bight.
On 18-19 September 2017, Maev successfully completed a crossing of the Catalina Channel, which lies between Catalina Island and San Pedro on the Southern Californian mainland.
